Beijing was FREEZING! They let us out on tarmac and we had to wait for a shuttle to the terminal. This is a picture of some snow on the ground.
At least it was warm in the shuttle....in fact hot. I was suffocating. Which didn't help my bronchitis. The airport itself was cold. Most big buildings are concrete shells with large glass windows. No heat, no insulation. But the airport was big, clean and had some comfortable chairs. John finally found a recliner to stretch out.
Problem was, this area of the airport was freezing. And our eyes were burning from the pollution outside. How do the people in this city handle the pollution?
Inside the Beijing airport.
How cute is this.......
This is the New Orleans airport security. I could really use one of these in China! He wasn't thrilled that John was taking his picture.
We are in Wauchula at John's sister's house.
We are looking forward to eating the turkey in Deb's oven. That was the one thing I had said I was going to cook when I got back. There is no turkeys in China (I could make a joke about the Chinese government right about here but that wouldn't be nice).
After this stop we head to number one son's house where number two, three and four sons will be gathering. I can't wait to hug them all. I may not let go for a while!
Keep smiling because I am!
Love and hugs....Cindy
