Below is a Market where you can find stuff! Nothing special or cheap. It is called the Taipei Market, Tourist Night Market. I think the biggest draw is the little 'hole in the wall' restaurants. You can eat just about anything here. It wasn't really busy when we went, but it wasn't night yet either. We strolled along a river/marsh front till sunset and then passed back by this place after dark and boy was it busy then!
This was something I have never seen before. When someone dies, family and friends put these wreaths up. I saw two displays as we rode around town. One just had 3 wreaths like this one, the other had 6 with one of the wreaths displaying a picture of the person who died. They basically had the same design and colors.
I know this picture isn't very clear but it was the best I could get of this street crossing light. The bottom green light is a picture of a man walking. He actually walks and when the timer gets down to 7 seconds, he runs! I spoke to a young woman on the airport bus shuttle and she said they actually had one where the little fellow falls over at the end. I never saw that one. John has a video on his phone but I can't load it on the blog. I have to upgrade for that privilege. I do plan on getting a good camera when I get back to the states. One with a 10x zoom!! I am afraid to buy one here since there are so many fakes.
Did Adam have a belly button?
Bet you thought I was going to say something profound! Ha! I am doing good to say something intelligible. Keep smiling!
