I am so thankful for those who take pity on foreigners who don't understand the language. Without their help we would have been lost. We arrived at the train stop which is a quick walk to our Hotel. Problem was.....which way? The directions were not clear and the locals were not familiar with the Hotel. Great! Now what? So after consulting a few more locals we started to walk in the direction given. As we passed a little restaurant we here "John, Cindy!". No, not the voice of God but our friends who we were going to meet up with the next day. They were in that little restaurant and spotted us walking by. Good eyes, Tammy. They escorted us to the Hotel where we planted our weary bones on a typical China bed, thud! Oh well, the room was clean (we had to switch from the first one because it smelled like smoke) and had all we needed. The next day we met up with Shane and Tammy for a very nice day of visiting with friends of friends and encouraging thoughts. Here are a few more pictures from that first day of our trip. More to come.....
Taiwan is different in many ways from China. We enjoyed our trip but we are glad to be back in China! Many more pictures to come....
Love and hugs..Cindy
