To begin the process a lovely young lady escorts you to a room of cushioned tables where you lie down but first she drapes a towel with a plastic lining behind it down the inside of your shirt along your back. Strange I thought but let's see where this goes. Then she proceeds to wash my hair. Well, it is more of a massage washing. She vigorously combes her fingers thru your hair scrubbing the scalp, temples, and massaging the neck and back. Thus the reason for the towel because her hands are soapy. After a second wash she rinses and proceeds to massage shoulders, arms, legs and eventually the back. She also proceeds to clean my ears! Some shampoo, huh! After about 50 minutes she was done. I was, too. Ready for a nap! But now I am escorted to a young man with hair that stands up about 4 inches on the top with a little facial hair on his chin. Oh and his nails were longer than mine. He tries to communicate with me on my preference but we gave up. I think he understood " take an inch off" enough to get started. He worked fast and professionally. I tried to read his face. Very serious. I think my fine, soft, flyaway hair was a challenge. Afterall the norm here is thick, black coarse hair. Despite it all, he did a fine job. I am happy but I miss my chats with Diane as she cut my hair back in Tampa. Oh and the cost was a mere $45.00 yuans ($7.00 US). What a bargain!
I guess that is it for now. I found a chiropractor and will let you know how that goes as well. We are well at this point and looking forward to what else is here to explore. Something new at every turn. Say hello to my friends, Milly W. , Alma T. and Deenee A., for me. I know they don't have access to my blog. We miss you all!
Love and hugs...Cindy
P.S. I think I look tired in that picture. I was. I was up early because we were suppose to be able to see a solar eclipes at sunrise but the clouds were hiding it. I waited to see if they would clear but they didn't. Oh well.
