Want a ride? No need to chase a motorcycle when you can ride one!
Here is our dear friend Jacob on his cycle. I hope he stays safe!!!
The city area of Taichung has some modern looking buildings right next to the older ones. My friends live more out in the country area. Oh, you know how in the states you put your garbage out by the road, preferably the night before and then the friendly garbage truck swings by to pick it up. Well, at our friend's home, you can hear the garbage truck coming because it is playing music like an ice cream truck. You are expected to race down to street level and wait for it to pass by. No putting it on the street, you have to hand it yourself to the garbage guys.
If you miss them the first time around, no worries, they come back later in the evening. It is strange to hear playful canned music and see a garbage truck...no ice cream. :(
I am glad this picture wasn't a close up. You would have seen the sweat dripping off my chin! That is why we have an umbrella open with the sky clear. It was hot! Not many trees to cool the walk. I miss the oaks in Florida for that one reason. They are big and tall and give much shade. But I don't miss the pollen!
Please stay strong, keep on smiling and think of us often as we do of you all!
Love and hugs...Cindy
